I saw these photos in an exhibition in March 2006 at the Gimpel Fils Gallery, Davies Street. It was a Corinne Day exhibition called 15, focusing on her iconic photographs of Kate. It was simple, youthful and touching. corinneday.co.uk/exhibitions 'Gimpel Fils is pleased to announce an exhibition of Corinne Day’s iconic photographs of Kate Moss. Published in the Face in 1990, these images changed the course of fashion photography. Day’s pioneering contribution to photography was to forego the staged glamour of the fashion world, preferring to make images that remained true to the young, uninhibited teenage girl they depicted.' It ran from 27th February to 1st April 2006.

Alexa Chung and Daisy Lowe photographed in London. I know it's a cliche and EVERYBODY has that American Apparel skirt (cough.. I have two..), but I really love Alexa's look in this photo. It also makes me wish I was taller. I'm going to be honest. I didn't know a lot about this tragic social butterfly until I saw 2006's Factory Girl. A film (especially that film) cannot do a person's life justice, so I can't even imagine how heartbreaking her journey really was. Maybe we'll never actually know, but I think the few photos there are of her (compared to the amount there are of say Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly or Audrey Hepburn) are truly endearing and iconic x
