ARABIAN NIGHTS

Models Raquel Zimmermann, Milana Keller, Jessica Stam, Maryna Linchuk, Tanya Dziahileva, Lily Donaldson and Magdalena Frackowiak walking in the Christian Dior Autumn/Winter 2009 Ready-to-Wear show in Paris on 06/03/2009 {Photo Source: Coutorture} I know the wonderful Spring/Summer 2010 collections have just whizzed by, but I'm still obsessed with this A/W09 collection and show: Galliano's use of gold, silver, sequins and fur; the Oriental, Persian and Indian inspired looks of the beading work, the shapes (the harem and dropped-crotch trousers in particular), the breathtaking make-up (click here for close-up views) and the 20's style helmet hair that looked glued onto the model's heads. Luxurious, kooky and fantastical ♥♥♥

They were lovely to come back to after a week of wearing black, no make-up, and jumping around in a leotard. It's only the beginning, but I'll always have McGibbon's bronze parachute pants to cheer me up. ♥ ♥ ♥
